Rules
1. All exhibits have been grown in the competitors own garden or allotment for at least two months prior to the show date and, in the Handicraft classes, should have been made within the last two years, (except floral art.)
2. All entry forms must be received no later than Wed 10th September 2009.
3. All entry fees are payable on the day, cost as stated on the entry form.
4. There is no restriction on the number of entries any individual may make, neither overall nor within any one class.
5. Certificates will be awarded as prizes and trophies distributed as per the programme schedule.
6. If there are less than four entries in any class the second and third prizes may be withheld at the discretion of the judge.
7. Except where recommended by a judge a first prize will not be awarded where there are only two competitors.
8. Points awarded to all trophies: First three points, second two points, third one point. In the event of equality of points the judges decision will be final.
9. No prize card nor exhibit may be removed before 3:30pm. Produce NOT removed by 3:45pm may be sold by auction to benefit Village Hall funds.
10. Trophies will be awarded at 3:45pm. All trophies are perpetual and must be returned to the Show Secretary TWO weeks before the next show.
11. Exhibits must be staged between 8am and 10am on the day of the show.
12. Exhibitors to provide their own containers.
13. The Show Committee will not accept responsibility for damage to containers or to exhibits.
14. The organizers reserve the right to refuse entry and their decision relating to disqualification of any entry, the award of prizes or any other matter whatsoever shall be final.
15. All entries in Children’s classes – age must be stated when entering, and should be the work of the child alone.
16. Children must be under 15 years on 12.09.2003. Children’s age categories relate to school years commencing September 2009. |
